Kim Mccurdy

Rescue Room Coordinator

I’m Kim McCurdy. I’m a retired pet portrait artist living in Ontario, Canada with my two fur babies, Charlie and Daisy. Charlie was adopted at 8 weeks old, and we rescued Daisy when she was almost 3 years old.

I believe animals have pure souls and to be in their presence inspires me to be a better person. Domesticated animals live in our homes and deserve to live their best lives. Educating humans on the best way to co-exist with them so they don’t suffer is important to me. When animals are neglected, abused, homeless or euthanized for unnecessary reasons, it shatters my heart every time. Sharing posts and stories, advocating for those without a voice, managing the @cfddarescueroom and fundraising to raise money through my pet portrait business are ways that I can help. The CFDDA embodies these same ideals, and I’m proud to be a part of what they are doing to help animals
