Michelle Smith
Vice President of Fundraising
I have been an animal person since I was a little girl. When I was a kid, my parents would take us to the animal shelter to look at the dogs, and every time we would leave I would cry. I connect with animals on a deeper level and told myself that one day I would work to save as many as I could. When I became an adult, I always volunteered at shelters and rescues, and I fostered dogs.
I have a master’s degree in business with a forte in nonprofit fundraising. Four years ago I left my career to travel full-time with my husband and his job, so wherever we end up, I go into local rescues to help them fundraise. While being on the road, I started an Instagram page for my dog Scarlett, and that is where I found a CFDDA. With the help of all of our amazing members, we have some epic events, and have been fortunate enough to fundraise for some amazing Rescues.
I am so excited about the future and the amazing potential we have as a group!
